Windscreen replacement
A cracked windscreen replaced within a single working day — including a leak test and driver-assistance recalibration.
A crack in a windscreen never stays where it started. Road vibration, temperature swings and body flex push it further every day — and the moment it crosses the driver's field of view, the glass is beyond repair and will fail the roadworthiness test.
We follow the glass manufacturer's method exactly. The old glass is cut out with wire or an oscillating blade so the paint and the pinch weld stay intact. Residual urethane is trimmed to a controlled thickness, the surface is degreased and primed — this layer decides whether the bond is still watertight years later.
The new glass is bonded with fast-curing one-part polyurethane. You get the exact safe drive-away time from the adhesive data sheet, not an estimate. Twenty minutes after fitting we water-test the seal and check the trim alignment.
If your car has a camera behind the rear-view mirror, the replacement must be followed by ADAS recalibration. We do it in-house and hand you the protocol.
